I currently work as a staff writer at Discover Magazine. My background also includes work in radio and online journalism in the American West. This year I am adding the art of book writing to my repertoire with a project that looks at the human/nature interface, especially as it relates to sustainable food and travel.
When I am not writing, I enjoy putting miles on my hiking boots, my cross country skis or my bike. When my schedule and environmental conscience allow it, I enjoy putting miles on my frequent flier card too (five continents and counting.) Encountering new people and places inspire me.
